Marathons can truly be quite exciting. There are people that prepare themselves all year for a specific marathon in order to be able to run it without any mishaps. Anyhow, the New York City Marathon is one of the main events of the year where people get together in order to race for this popular event. The running community is truly remarkable, as everyone that gets together is often joined by the same spirit of motivation, which makes the entire event even more successful. The best thing that people can do in order to prepare for this event, is train beforehand. A lot of cardio can ensure a wider range of endurance during the run. Therefore, people that are usually preparing for this marathon beforehand, like to know the distance range in order to continuously attempt to run it in order to be prepared when the day comes. 

What do you need to know about the NYC Marathon?

This marathon started in Staten Island and you could only get there in a ferry or on a very early bus, therefore, if you are planning to run it, this is something that you need to be aware of beforehand. The race goes through the Verrazano Bridge, and it is truly a remarkable experience for the competitors. Afterwards, the race goes through Brooklyn, passes through the Queensboro Bridge and ends in Central Park.

When Does It Happen?

Do not stress out, you still have enough time to prepare for this marathon. The NYC Marathon will take place on November 7, 2021, on a Sunday, just like every other year.

For those that are preparing to take on this race, you should know that this marathon has a distance of 42 kilometers, and it is an annual event that has been happening since 1970.
